Gordon Douglas Ward is a popular Wildlife & Nature Artist based in the Watership Downs area of Hampshire in the UK.

"I have had a lifelong interest in the English Countryside & Landscape. From an early age I have enjoyed painting and sketching wildlife.

It wasn't until the last 20 years, when I moved into the country, that my subjects matter became more assessable for my work.

I have become a professional Artist in the last 2 years. I have worked as a game keeper for many years, and when I was a young lad I enjoyed poaching many a rabbit or pheasant for the pot.

If I was asked to describe my paintings, I would say I was inspired by Constable, Lodge and Thorburn."

"I try to incorporate the Landscape with the Quarry. I have one exhibition yearly and also exhibit at various county shows up and down the country. I have sold numerous paintings to art lovers all over the UK, in America, Australia, Portugal and Japan.
